What we keep,
and why.

KNGHT is a brand studio in Toronto, Ontario. We collect as little as we can, we use it only to answer you and do the work, and we never sell it. This page follows Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA, and Canada's anti-spam law, CASL.

What we collect

  • When you book a callYour name, email, the time you choose and anything you write in the booking questions, including a self-check score if you took one. Booking runs through Calendly, which stores these details for us.
  • When you ask for your scorecard by emailYour email address, your seven self-check answers, your score and the category you picked, plus your consent to hear from us.
  • When you ask for your sigil by emailYour email address, the business name you typed, your category and the virtue you chose, plus your consent to hear from us.
  • When you take the self-checkYour answers stay in your browser. Google Analytics counts that a self-check was finished, with the score and the weakest layer, but not who you are. Downloading your scorecard creates the image on your own device.
  • When you email usWhatever you choose to send to sho@knght.com.
  • How the site is usedWe use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and which buttons they press, such as booking a call, finishing the self-check or downloading a sigil. It sets cookies and records your approximate location, device and browser, but not your name or email. We do not use it for advertising.
  • How pages are readWe use Microsoft Clarity to see where people scroll, click and get stuck. It records page sessions as replays and heatmaps, with anything typed into a field masked. It sets cookies and does not identify you by name.
  • On your deviceSmall notes in your browser's storage: the category you picked, so the page reads for you next time, and in some free tools your work, so it is there when you come back. They stay on your device. Plus the Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies above. No advertising cookies.

Why we use it

To confirm and hold your call, to send what you asked for, and to prepare for and deliver work you hire us to do.

If you tick the box, we may also send occasional notes from KNGHT. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop the day you use it.

Who else sees it

  • Google AnalyticsMeasures how the site is used. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.
  • Microsoft ClarityRecords anonymous scroll, click and session data so we can improve the site. You can block it by blocking cookies.
  • CalendlyHolds booking details and sends confirmations and reminders.
  • Our email providerDelivers and stores email we send and receive.
  • FormspreeReceives scorecard and sigil requests and forwards them to us by email. Its servers are in the United States.
  • Hosting and mediaVercel serves this site. Images and films load from a content delivery network, and fonts from Google Fonts. Like any website, these services see your IP address and browser type when they deliver files.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to local law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it to train AI models.

How long we keep it

Booking and enquiry details: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.

Analytics data: up to 14 months, then Google deletes it.

Client records: as long as the engagement lasts, plus the period tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email sho@knght.com and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
